Playing Time and Substitutions Every player on the roster must play the minimum required minutes as stated below depending upon the nummber of players per team. Free subbing is allowed in the fourth quarter of the game AFTER all players have received their minimum amount playing time. Coaches must have their substitution sheets completed with each player's play time determined for the entire 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters, and the beginning of the fourth quarter.
11 or 12 Player Teams • Each player will be guaranteed at least 8 minutes of play during the duration of the game.
10 Player Teams • Each player will each receive a minimum of 10 minutes playtime unless hurt or fouled out. With 10 or less players, ALL PLAYERS WILL PLAY A MINIMUM OF 10 MINUTES EACH.
9 Player Teams • Each player will receive a minimum of 10 minutes playtime unless hurt or fouled out. The league supervisor will select players out of the 1st quarter to play in the second quarter. With 10 or less players, ALL PLAYERS WILL PLAY A MINIMUM OF 10 MINUTES EACH.
Substituting for Teams with 9 Players or Less
· If the team has 9 players, the supervisor will choose 2 players to play in the second quarter. The first player picked will start the second and quarter with the second pick subbing in at 3 minutes.
· If the team has 8 players, the supervisor will choose 4 players to play in the second quarter. Two players will start the quarter, and the remaining two will sub in at 3 minutes.
· Players who did not start in the third quarter will begin the fourth quarter in order to accumulate the guaranteed 10 minutes of play time. After all players have the 10 minutes of play time, free subbing is allowed in the fourth quarter.
